For Modern Living.
The brief was to design a concept home, fit for modern life while using reclaimed shipping containers as a structural framework.
Along with re-using these corten steel building blocks, we wrapped the building in wool insulation, timber cladding and green roofs which will create a high performing envelope that possesses low embodied carbon and will maintain comfortable temperature and humidity levels internally.
The concept was explored at multiple scales, from a 1 bedroom maisonette for single person or couple, through to a 5 bedroom home for a family.
